A LOOK AT "BERNIE": A COMEDY ABOUT THE WORLD'S OLDEST PROFESSION... ACCOUNTING.

The cast, L to R: Heather Beeman (CAROL), Chris Woolsey (MITCH), Eddie Wolfe (BERNIE), Justin James Farley (RUSSELL), Kathleen Puls Andrade (SANDRA).

"Bernie" is the story of Bernie Rootle, a seriously old-school accountant at AmericaBest Consulting. He's a man pushed wayyy out of his comfort zone when the late founder's flame-haired trophy wife, Sandra Gloyd, takes over as CEO, hellbent on modernizing the place with all the delicacy of a wrecking ball.

Bernie, along with his off-kilter officemates — HR babe Carol Phipps; hard-partying sales rep Mitch Cox; and can't-be-bothered IT guy Russell Bell — must find ways to navigate a new world if they're gonna weather the coming storm: Hurricane Sandra.

MEET THE CAST OF "BERNIE"

Eddie Wolfe (BERNIE) A former collegiate wrestler and certified K-12 teacher, Eddie is an upstate N.Y. native who began his acting career in Tampa. He’s been featured in numerous plays, commercials and short films, and has performed as a member of various ensembles, most recently Orphan Bikini Party. A SUNY Cortland grad, he studied acting at the Second City Conservatory as well as the iO and Annoyance training centers.

Kathleen Puls Andrade (SANDRA) Star of the long-running stage hit Put the Nuns in Charge!, Kathleen is known by soldout crowds for her hilarious Mother Superior, a character that might not approve of Sandra Gloyd. Sought after for her trademark red ‘do and mellifluous voice, Kath can be seen or heard in countless TV commercials or shows. She serves on the jury of the Chicago Comedy Film Festival and is creator/producer of the Funny Woman Fest.

Heather Beeman (CAROL) A graduate of the acting conservatories at the world-renowned Second City and The Annoyance Theatre, Heather hails from the same hometown as Jack Benny. Her short film work has been featured on Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die website, and she’s served in a half dozen ensembles or comedy troupes who’ve performed in front of audiences in Chicago and beyond, including at the L.A. Comedy Festival.

Chris Woolsey (MITCH) Chris was born and raised in Portland, which might account for his obsession with riding his bike all winter long. A University of Portland alum, he’s starred in three indie films and more than two dozen theater productions, playing everything from James Dean to King Herod. His training includes Second City, Improv Olympic and Moscow Art Theatre. He plays a mean ukulele and, unlike Mitch, is a stand-up guy.

Justin James Farley (RUSSELL) Justin studied theater at Illinois State University and is a fixture on Chicago’s top stages. His credits include productions at Steep Theatre, Silk Road Theatre Project, and Steppenwolf, the famed theatre co-founded by Gary Sinise. You may recognize Justin from his frequent TV spots (hello, ESPN and Xfinity!) or his roles on acclaimed dramas like Chicago Code and Boss.
